The Embark team together with a vet from the Best Care Animal Hospital, carry out mobile treatment visits every Thursday. Help is sought for most dogs who are a part of a community, and need some extra care that the community may be unable or unwilling to provide.

The Embark team carried out a monthly follow up visit to homes which adopted a pup from our adoption program. We were glad to see the puppies were well looked after and happy. They have settled in well with their new families and we are happy to see them all doing  well.

Simba, a Dalmatian was found abandoned in Panadura with  maggot infested wounds on his back and paws. He is currently receiving treatment at the hospital and we hope to find him a good home once better. The Embark field team conducted onsite visits last Thursday. 7 dogs who could not be brought into the veterinary clinic were treated by Embark’s mobile veterinary service. 1 of the 7 dogs was seriously ill and had to be hospitalised at our partner veterinary clinic.
