Embark held an educational workshop to raise awareness on dog behavior, animal welfare and education on proper veterinary care for dogs. The event was held at Park Street Mews, on 30 March 2018, with the participation of guest speakers who are experts in the fields of animal rights, veterinary care and animal behavior.
Embark volunteers, and representatives from animal welfare organizations such as Adopt a Dog in Sri Lanka, Care for the Voiceless, and Animal Welfare and Protection Association, animal protection force were present at the event.
This interactive and informative event featured the expertise of Julie Graves from the UK who spoke on Training and Understanding Dog Behavior; Lalani Perera who informed the audience on Animal Welfare Laws and Regulations and Dr. Chamith Nanayakkara who provided knowhow on proper veterinary care for sick and injured dogs as well as advice on nutrition for pet owners.
