Lassie was found roaming around the Thalawathugoda area and the Embark hotline received several calls about her in a short space of time. In the meantime a passerby, Kavindu- had decided to take her home and begin the necessary tests.

 Upon assessment we discovered that Lassie was positive for filariasis and had a large growth on her hind leg, following her test results Embark stepped in to hospitalize Lassie to get her the treatment and surgery she required.  She is currently recovering well from her surgery at the hospital.
