Embark was informed of Lucky in January, she had eaten a hakkapatas, an explosive trap set out for wild boar in the jungles, which had shattered her jaw. We brought her to Colombo, hopeful that we would be able to fix her jaw and help her have a better life.

Two surgeons had a look at her but as it was an old injury and beyond repair there was nothing much that they could do for her. And as she has now adjusted to a certain way of taking in her food it was best to let her be the way she was. Lucky went back to Kandy on Tuesday and boy was she glad to be home! She even had another street pooch friend who was there to welcome her.

We are so glad we met Lucky, she certainly helped change our perspective on life. So amazing to see her happy and content after all she has been through.
