This palm-sized pup was rescued from Ragama, which earned her the nickname ‘Raggy’.The two month old pup had a hind leg that was crushed beyond repair but her spirits were high, along with her energy level.
She quickly underwent an amputation surgery and woke up the next day with as much spring in her, three-legged step, as before. She was bounding along with the other dogs in just a matter of days and just two months later, Raggy was ready for a permanent home.
Naveen and Margie, two Embark volunteers and also keen supporters, fell in love with Raggy and instantly welcomed her into their home. Raggy, who has now been renamed Charly, not only has a loving mum and dad but also a human baby sister!
