Following repeated requests for veterinary medical help for street dogs from various sites in Ragama, Embark decided to work on a plan to cover each location requested.
After much planning and several site visits Embark set out on the 5th of November to the Ragama General Hospital for a treatment program together with Dr Roshan of Four Paws Animal Hospital. The team completed 2 vaccination and 15 treatments of which many were with severe mange conditions and TVT’s. Most dogs had been sterilized previously but they were in urgent need of these skin treatments.
Embark will do a follow-up visit to the hospital on the 17th of November and continue to work closely with the hospital staff to ensure the welfare of the dogs living onsite.
