The Alliance for the Protection of Community Dogs, which includes Embark, along with compassionate citizens stepped out on the 24 th of July at Hyde Park Corner,
in support of the beautiful streets dogs of Sri Lanka, with great hope of ending the new spate of cruelty that has begun of late on these innocent animals. It was wonderful to see many, including prominent actors and actresses turn up on a working day with the vision of making a change.
A country that used to once live in perfect harmony with all its animals and believe in tolerance for all, has unfortunately taken a new direction over the years of practicing tolerance only for some lives.
The compassionate and kind still outnumber those who are not, and this silent protest was example of what was seen today. It’s time for more to make themselves heard and seen in support of the beautiful animals of Sri Lanka who need our help.
